Official Star Wars Mighty Muggs Wave 9?

The Star Wars Mighty Muggs Wave 9 title has changed hands a number of times in the past few months. Entertainment Earth has released a new set under the same title. In this set, we have an older white-haired Obi Wan Kenobi, a scratched Luke Skywalker in Hoth fatigues, a Gamorrean Guard and a Scout Trooper.

The question remains though, is this the official Star Wars Mighty Muggs Wave 9 or just an Entertainment Exclusive?

Star Wars Mighty Muggs Wave 9 Leaked Pics

Looks like Wave 9 (or Wave 8 - see last post) has been leaked.

Up for grabs are Wicket, Qui-Gon Jin, Emperor Royal Guard and Wampa.

Wave 8 Actually Just Target Exclusives?

"Wave 8" has been showing up stateside all over the place. Litepink over at the Mighty Muggs Forum has come up with a great theory as well as evidence that the whole set is not a wave so much as series of Target Exclusives.

We all thought that a whole wave possibly been exclusive to Target seemed odd. Seems like this may not be an official Wave however. I f you look at the box that the "target exclusives" come in below, they are unlike those of other waves. Star Wars Wave 6 is clearly labeled Wave 6, and Wave 5 Marvel is Wave 1 of 2009.

Now the box that Sallah and Shortround came in are NOT like the previous two boxes, they are different since they are exclusives rather than a wave. The same goes for the Target Exclusives. No wave number is posted on the size and the the box is double the size of a normal wave box.

Odd, but plausible. I really wish we could get an official word on this however.

Looks like we have out first leaked images of Star Wars Mighty Muggs Wave. Looks like it will includes Bossk, Snowtrooper, Biggs Darklighter and Teebo the Ewok! The Shock Trooper appears in this image sans it's target exclusive sticker, so it's got many people (myself included) waiting on an offical word on where the figure is being released.

Shock Trooper Target Exclusive

Recently, someone on the mighty mugg forum discovered an auction for the completely unannounced Target exclusive Star Wars Shocktrooper Mighty Mugg. It was spotted on an eBay auction from Hong Kong.

This seems legit, but also confusing as leaked photos show the Shock Trooper being in the upcoming Star Wars Wave 8.

If you look closely at the leaked photos, the new wave Shock Trooper appears to have a gun while the Target exclusive does not. Hopefully we'll get an official announcement soon enough.
