Posted by Jedi Mugg in "Wave 8" has been showing up stateside all over the place. Litepink over at the Mighty Muggs Forum has come up with a great theory as well as evidence that the whole set is not a wave so much as series of Target Exclusives.
We all thought that a whole wave possibly been exclusive to Target seemed odd. Seems like this may not be an official Wave however. I f you look at the box that the "target exclusives" come in below, they are unlike those of other waves. Star Wars Wave 6 is clearly labeled Wave 6, and Wave 5 Marvel is Wave 1 of 2009.
Now the box that Sallah and Shortround came in are NOT like the previous two boxes, they are different since they are exclusives rather than a wave. The same goes for the Target Exclusives. No wave number is posted on the size and the the box is double the size of a normal wave box.
Odd, but plausible. I really wish we could get an official word on this however.
